Clinical Education Development and Research (CEDAR)

Clinical training programmes

Cedar aims to grow and develop the mental health workforce, through new Psychological Professions roles, upskilling and supporting the application of evidence-based practice to other professional groups across varied health and social care settings.

We offer a wide-ranging portfolio of professional training programmes, from Undergraduate up to Masters level, through to post-qualification and advanced practice courses. We also offer clinical doctorate programmes. These are different from conventional PhDs, which essentially offer training in academic research skills. Our clinical doctorate programmes all include taught academic and clinical research modules as well as applied psychological practice and a major research project dissertation.
