• Paul Hoggett: Psychotherapy and Climate Anxiety - In and Out of the Consulting Room

Date: Friday 24th May 2019

Location: Room 105, Washington Singer Laboratories, Streatham Campus, University of Exeter

In response to a growing call for support in working with climate change distress, bewilderment and trauma, Paul Hoggett invites the psychotherapy and related professions to engage more directly with what psychotherapeutic understandings can bring to climate anxiety in both familiar and unfamiliar settings.

This workshop will look at how psychotherapists can develop a climate aware practice; applying psychotherapeutic skills both inside and outside the confines and saftey of the consulting room.

Paul Hoggett is Professor Emeritus of Social Policy at UWE. A BPC registered psychotherapist, he sits on the Executive Committee of Climate Psychology Alliance.
