Welcome to the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Resources

The Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme is part of the Clinical Group at the University of Exeter which has two distinct areas of work: Clinical Research and Clinical Training. The Mood Disorders Centre works to advance the understanding and treatment of mood disorders while CEDAR (Clinical Education, Development and Research) trains the next generation of clinical researchers and practitioners. Combined, we provide integrated research and training across the translational spectrum from experiment all the way through to dissemination.

The Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme also collaborates with the Centre for Clinical Neuropsychology Research to enhance the development of skills in neuropsychology research and clinical practice. We work closely with the NHS via a University-based NHS clinic and a suite of Clinical Training programmes commissioned by the NHS, including national leadership of the Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) training. The programme is at PGR level and all three modules of the programme are research-led.

We have built up strong working links with local clinicians and others working in the NHS and attract high quality teaching and research support from these highly regarded staff.
