‌‌Systemic Supervision Course

New Specialist Training in Systemic Supervision.

Start date in September 2018 - running over 10 months.


This course will be delivered by a team of highly experienced systemic trainers and teachers, with input from those recognised nationally in the field. Lecturers will include John Burnham, Jeremy Woodcock, Mark Rivett & Hannah Sherbersky.

Training Information


The University of Exeter’s Systemic team is delighted to announce that it will be running a second Systemic Supervision CPD Course in 2018 at the University’s Streatham Campus in Exeter. This course will provide high quality training in the key skills required to be a systemic supervisor, drawing on a range of models and research, with a particular emphasis on evidence based practice and creative approaches within supervision. As of November 2017, this course is fully accredited by AFT. 

Teaching will consist of lectures, tutorials and a monthly Supervision of Supervision group. Teaching will take place monthly on a Monday and Tuesday at the University of Exeter.


3,000 word essay on an aspect of supervision covered in the curriculum

Submission of a recording of supervision with a critical commentary, and an outcome measure of the supervisory relationship

2,000 word reflective log of supervision practice and learning and development as a supervisor, and a record of their supervisory practice signed by their supervisor                                                                                             

Who is the training for?

Applications are invited from AFT registered Systemic Family Therapists usually with three  years post - qualifying experience. Please contact us if you have any questions about eligibility.
